Core Networks partners with Mentis Broadband Solutions to provide integrated subscriber
lifecycle solution

Core Networks and Mentis Broadband Solutions (Mentis) today announced the integration
of their technologies to offer service providers seamless integration between their
provisioning and legacy billing systems. Combining Core Networks CoreOS
Broadband Provisioning and Management System and Mentis' Real-Time Response Platform
(RTR), the two companies deliver a complete subscriber lifecycle solution that will
significantly ease back-office requirements for service availability, order entry,
subscriber activation and support, network management, and "out-of-the-box"
billing.
The Core-Mentis solution provides a direct interface between advanced broadband
activation and network management activities and leading cable industry billing
systems such as Convergys, CSG and DST Innovis. It offers an end-to-end view
of the subscriber environment from customer self-care environments to the
service providers call center to the network operations and billing center
improving the efficiency and productivity of CSRs and technical staff while
creating new revenue generating channels for service providers. The integrated
environment will also enable service providers to reduce operating costs and offer
enhanced services, such as self-provisioning and service kiosks, and real-time billing
for video-on-demand and VoIP.

The CoreOSTM Broadband Provisioning and Management System streamlines rapid subscriber
activation and enables DOCSIS self-provisioning for revenue generation and cost
control. The products support tool set provides extensive visibility
into subscriber issues and enable real-time troubleshooting capabilities CoreOST
is equipped with sophisticated network monitoring and management capabilities allowing
service providers to reduce costs associated with truck rolls and easily scale their
networks to meet demand.
The Mentis RTR Platform provides cable and satellite operators with the next generation
of service delivery and fulfillment solutions including: web-based self-care
and Open Access solutions, retail and partner management tools, and mobile workforce
management platforms. The RTR platform has been designed to hide the complexities
of the underlying OSS/BSS infrastructure while delivering a seamless and transparent
experience for both customers and business users.
